Time for a new post friends!
I literally cannot sleep any more this morning (it’s actually 5am), so I thought I’d catch up on some HOC biz. My crazy mind gets to a certain point where it just doesn’t know how to shut off. It might be the fact I sent quite a few proofs out this week for my couples and have two new clients signing on with me this week. I almost always get nervous when sending my designs and creations to my clients, I don’t think that will ever go away(keeps me humble). Also, whenever signing on new clients, my mind usually is non stop with ideas until I can sketch them out. I know, PURE madness. However, I think that is what makes the work exceptional, right? Any successful business owner (I have read) has some sort of madness to them. God Bless my husband.
I met a new client at my favorite spot yesterday, Gran Caffe L’Aquila, off of Chestnut in Philly. It’s to die for. I probably should broaden my horizon a little bit, but it doesn’t get old. It didn’t win ‘Best of Philly’ for nothing!
I’m pretty excited about my new clients! Every bride and groom have been incredibly creative, it doesn’t get better than that for a designer. They let my madness run wild, God Bless them too.
I want to finally share with my friends this amazing shoot I had the honor of joining last month. My friends from MLE Pictures asked quickly one day for some fab and whimsical papery for their “Hurricane” inspired styled shoot, down the shore. I said yes right away. It took all of two minutes to figure out what they wanted and that’s how you know you mesh well.
I met MLE Pictures at The Big Fake Wedding in Philadelphia last July. They are an amazing photography husband and wife duo, with the cutest little baby addition(who is already an avid experienced styled shoot participant). We met so many amazing vendors in Philly for The Big Fake Wedding, it made me proud to be from Greater Philadelphia.
Also apart of this amazing styled shoot were Sweet Caroline’s Styles. They provided the gorgeous dress for the day. Absolutely amazing shop on Etsy, you should totally check them out. With 56k followers on insta, I think they are pretty fab!
For the floral design, Petal and Paper provided their amazing talent. They are based in South Jersey and provide much more than just floral arrangements.
The ring, which is the best part, was provided by Single Stone. The are based in California and truly worth looking at online. Their contemporary and modern jewelry is all the rage right now and who doesn’t want to be different? I do – 💁🏼
As for the stationery, this was so fun. I truly got to let myself explore with this suite. I wanted to incorporate handmade paper, super funky handwriting, the wax seal, deckled edges, and some torn chiffon to throw it all together. I knew MLE’s style, so I kept the Paper dramatic and dark. Yet, the paper expressed so much love. I added the chicest Vow card on amethyst colored handmade paper. It added just enough contrast to the paper mix.
Finally, to truly complete the suite, I made escort tags and tiles for place settings. The tags were made from vellum (my favorite) and the tile had my favorite quote from the Corinthians, “Love conquers all.” Love sure does, ❤️.
I’ll let the rest of the pictures speak for themselves. They are truly inspiring and gorgeous. I live for these creative shoots and meeting new vendors. There’s enough work and couples for everyone, just enjoy being creative with each other!
Keep checking in and following me on Instagram, lots of fun things coming up with Philadelphia Magazine! ‘Til the next time friends!
